Sharing details of her super busy year, and revealing who's topping her gifting list, actress Thandie Newton has the holiday season all wrapped up... Your Ultimate Shoe To Discover Under The Tree? "I would most like to find Jimmy Choo TALAN heels under my tree. They're that gorgeous combination of modern glamour with a romantic retro feel. And the tiny dots of silver against rich black suede remind me of a dark starry night." Where Will You Be For Christmas? "We'll be spending Christmas under the Bow Bells. We'd previously planned a beach Christmas in Mexico, but I'm expecting in February so it'll be nesting time!" Who's Topping Your Gifting List? "I'll be gifting the BESSO black and gold heels to my friend Nigerian author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. It's been an incredible year for me, making and soon to be releasing the film 'Half of a Yellow Sun', adapted from Chimamanda's brilliant novel about a love story set against the Nigeria Biafran War in the 60s. Chimamanda has become a dear friend and inspiration. One of the things I love about her is that she's an extraordinary literary mind, and also delighted to talk about shoes, make-up and dressing up. No wonder, as she's a dazzling beauty to match her dazzling brain. I can imagine her now, wearing BESSO on the red carpet for the premiere of our film next year! "This year I launched an on-line beauty site called, with my friend and genius make up artist Kay Montano. It's been liberating and exciting being editors-in-chief, as we don't have sponsorship or funding - it's our personal contribution to ideas about mainstream beauty. As it's Kay's Birthday over Christmas the gift needs to be extra special, so I want to give her the fabulous PARROW wedges. They're divine, just like Kay. "In my list of "who am I?" it reads Mother, Life-Partner, and then V Day activist - actress comes last! V Day is a powerfully brilliant organisation founded by my friend and mentor Eve Ensler (author of 'The Vagina Monologues' – where the 'V' in V Day comes from). My campaigning for Human Rights took a major leap when I went to Congo in 2011 to visit The City of Joy – brainchild of Ensler in collaboration with women survivors of horrific sexual violence in Eastern Congo. This year we launched One Billion Rising for Justice, which will take place February 14 2014. I want to give Eve Ensler the RENO glitter passport wallet, because Eve is currently travelling the world galvanising support for One Billion Rising for Justice." What's On Your Christmas Playlist? "'Aint No Chimneys in the Projects' by Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, 'Just Like Christmas' by Low, 'Fairytale of New York' by The Pogues and Kirsty McCall, and everything Christmas themed from Motown!"
