Jimmy Choo Takes Val D’isère
When it comes to ski vacations, few destinations compare to the picturesque village of Val d’Isère. Situated high in the Tarentaise Valley, this iconic resort boasts over 300km of marked runs and some of the Alps’ liveliest après-ski. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that this storied town was where we chose to welcome fashion’s most glamorous thrill seekers for a stylish ski trip in celebration of our first ever Snow Capsule.
The weather was unseasonably snowy – even by Alpine standards – meaning, the conditions were perfect for test-driving a new ski wardrobe. Inspired by the high-octane glamour of vintage sportswear, the Snow Capsule combines cutting-edge design with high-performance pieces. Our fashion insiders debuted sleek suits, puffer jackets, streamlined pants, chunky snow boots - and a plethora of other ski essentials - finished with our signature JC Monogram and cast in all-black or a romantic pastel palette.
Of course, when our guests weren’t storming the black runs or perfecting their form on-piste, there were plenty of other incredible activities on offer. Whether ensconced in the luxurious Airelles hotel - a five-star chalet in the heart of the village - ice skating or soaking in the panoramic views at Le Refuge’s Gigi restaurant – arguably the world’s most iconic mountain rest stop – they soaked up the magic of Val d’Isère, all while dressed head-to-toe in Jimmy Choo.
After all, every seasoned skier knows that the action continues long after you’ve left the slopes. Val d’Isère is famous for its vibrant aprés-ski scene, and our trip was no exception. With sumptuous candlelit dinners at La Grande Ourse, LOULOU and even a night at La Folie Douce - the highest cabaret in the world – it’s safe to say Jimmy Choo’s Val d’Isère takeover was a truly unforgettable experience.
