Jimmy Choo Unveils Madison Avenue Flagship Boutique
Jimmy Choo announced the opening of its Madison Avenue flagship on December 6, showcasing an evolved expression of the Jimmy Choo retail experience and reinforcing the house’s powerful connection to New York City.
The retail space is carefully curated with exceptional, sourced vintage furniture and objets d’art. Elegant mid-century seating by Luigi Pellegrin, Antonio Citterio and Móveis Cimo celebrate the canon of design while collectible lighting by contemporary makers Tommaso Bertocco and Kueng Capato, alongside a custom red resin table by Objects of Common Interest, infuse the boutique with an artistic sensibility.
Dynamic, modern, vibrant and free - New York is a kindred spirit, a home from home for the brand connecting with our values and ethos, our attitudes to 21st-century glamour. I’m thrilled that we can reinvent our footprint in this city, linking our creativity with New York’s unmistakable personality.
- Sandra Choi, Creative Director
I am so proud of the space we have created on Madison. We wanted the design to feel authentic to the city, to the dynamic energy of the city underscoring the craft that’s central to Jimmy Choo. The furniture and design objects have been carefully curated to complement our storytelling and create a joyful environment for our clients to experience.
- Hannah Colman, CEO
Each space within Jimmy Choo Madison Avenue is a distinct encounter, different in dimensions and feel. Shared, however, is the immersive sense of stepping into a jewel box; interiors are soft and sensuous with textured walls and shelving with sinuous, feminine curved edges. In all, the products take centre-stage, like precious gems. Luxurious materials - walnut, travertine marble, velvet, hand worked glass and ceramic - connect to the materiality and tactility synonymous with Jimmy Choo. A signature brand colour, ‘winter bloom’ – the rich purple shade of Jimmy Choo’s original packaging - features in carpeting and key fixtures.
